Daniel Radcliffe invites Obama girls for Potter around

Daniel Radcliffe has invited President Barack Obama's daughters on a personal tour of the Harry Potter set.

The 19-year-old star said he would be "honoured" to show Malia and Sasha around when he starts filming the final movie, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, later this year.

Radcliffe, who plays the boy wizard in the films of JK Rowling's series, said in an interview: "I'd like to take this opportunity to issue a public invitation to the Obamas that if their daughters would like a private tour of the Harry Potter set, I would be honoured to be their personal tour guide."

The Obamas are known to be big Potter fans, with the US President reading the books aloud to 10-year-old Malia and seven-year-old Sasha. In an interview in 2007, Michelle Obama admitted: "Harry Potter is huge in our house."

Radcliffe, who was in the US for the President's inauguration, was fulsome in his praise for Mr Obama in the interview with website The Daily Beast. He said: "I'm so happy for this country. He's everything the rest of the world liked about America and now likes again."
