David Van Day loses his sparkle

Poor David Van Day. His star has fallen for a second time after his brief reacquaintance with fame on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here last month.

The brash 52-year-old was left red-faced after he was turned away at the door of trendy members' bar The Groucho Club in Soho.

Turned away: David Van Day is denied entry to The Groucho Club

Our spy said: "He walked in confidently on his own. But he was only inside for a matter of seconds before he was sent packing. He tried to laugh it off with a grin, but he looked very cheesed off as he humiliatingly jumped straight into a cab."

David won our affections with his devilish antics in the jungle, but he's fast finding out how fickle the reality TV public can be. Perhaps if he started dressing like his age he might find more doors are opened for him...
