Davina McCall's bid to save Chantelle and Preston's marriage

Never fear, Davina McCall is here.

The Big Brother presenter was shocked to learn former housemates Chantelle and Preston may be having marriage problems on the red carpet of the Baftas.

So much so she adamantly announced: "Don't worry, I'll sort them out."

It's been reported that the couple, who married last August after meeting on Celebrity Big Brother, have had a series of bust ups and their marriage is already in trouble.

Chantelle, 23, added fuel to the rumours by arriving on the red carpet of the Palladium Theatre alone last night, without Ordinary Boys frontman Preston, 25, in tow.

And she didn't seem in the mood to answer questions on the state of her marriage. When we broke the news to McCall, 39, she said:

"Oh my God that's terrible news, they are a great couple but I'm sure with my help they can get through it."

The mum of three, who looks fab after losing all the baby weight since giving birth to Chester last September, added jokingly: "Isn't marriage about rowing all the time anyway."

Meanwhile Dav, who couldn't contain her excitement about this year's Big Brother which starts next week, let slip: "All of this year's housemates have left the country.

Producers don't want it to get out who'll be on the show so they've whisked them off to a secret location this weekend. I don't even know where they are."

And referring to the Celebrity BB race row, she said: "If police had found that an official race row had occured on the show then producers would have issued this year's contestants with a warning not to repeat the incident.

But the police came up with nothing so contestants are free to say and do as they please, within reason."
