Community service: Lindsay, stepping out for a shopping trip in Beverly Hills yesterday, will begin work in a morgue next week
The 21-year-old star has been ordered to serve part of her community service for her drink driving convictions among the deceased.
The Just My Luck beauty was sentenced to 10 days of community service by a Los Angeles judge last year after she reached a plea deal over her two drink driving arrests last summer.
In November, Lohan served just 84 minutes of her one day jail sentence after she was released early due to overcrowding.
Lohan will spend two four-hour days at a morgue as part of a court-ordered programme to show drivers the real-life consequences of drinking and driving.
Her lawyer Blair Berk told a LA judge at a court hearing yesterday the young star will begin work at the morgue imminently.
The Mean Girls star must also spend two days working in a hospital emergency room.
Lohan was arrested in May for driving under the influence of alcohol after she crashed her Mercedes-Benz into a curb.
After a spell in Promises Treatment Center in Malibu, California, Lohan was arrested again just days later for drink driving in Santa Monica.
Following her second arrest, Lohan checked into rehab for a second time at Cirque Lodge in Utah, where she met snowboarder Riley Giles, who she began dating while in treatment before splitting last month.
After she was photographed swilling champagne from a bottle on New Year's Eve in Italy, Lohan was forced to deny reports she had 'fallen off the wagon'.

"There is no magic cure here. The most unfortunate part of this is that Lindsay has to share her 'one day at a time' with the entire world."
Like most of her Hollywood contemporaries, Lohan is currently taking time out of filming while she waits for the writer's strike in Hollywood to end.
After her last movie I Know Who Killed Me was critically mauled and performed badly at the box office, Lohan is hoping her next films Poor Things and Dare To Love Me match the success of her earlier hit movies Mean Girls and Freaky Friday.
A recent poll by AOL Moviefone named Lohan as giving the worst acting performance for a female last year.
