Denise Richards voted worst ever Bond girl...but Andress is still simply the best

Hollywood actress Denise Richards has been named Worst Bond Girl Ever by fans for her performance in The World is Not Enough by fans while original 007 girl Ursula Andress was voted the best.

Richards is most well known for her turbulent divorce from actor Charlie Sheen but her performance as a Bond Girl nearly ten years ago is perhaps best forgotten.

Richards, 36, won the accolade after she appeared as nuclear physicist Dr Christmas Jones who graced the screen in 1999 wearing an improbably uniform of hot pants and a cropped vest.

Dubbed a "disaster" by fans a reviewer commented: "Even Q didn't have a gadget to escape from that disaster."

Former Charlie's Angel Tanya Roberts was second in line for the dubious award for her portrayal of revenge seeking geoolgist Stacey Sutton in A View to A Kill in 1985.

Critics complained: "We forgot that Bond girls were supposed do be smart and sexy."

Meanwhile the original 007 girl Ursula Andress was named Best Bond Girl ever for her sexy debut as Honey Ryder in 1962's Dr No.

The poll said: "Her sultry walk out of the waves set the tone for every sexy strong Bond girl."

British actress and ex-Avengers star Honor Blackman claimed second place for her character Pussy Galore.
