Des O'Connor jets 10,000 miles to say I do... again

Des O'Connor is clearly a great supporter of marriage - after all, he's done it four times.

In fact, the 75-year-old entertainer seems to have enjoyed last September's wedding to Jodie Brooke Wilson so much that he's done it all over again.

He and his 38-year-old wife travelled to her Australian homeland to receive a formal blessing at a church in Sydney, accompanied by their three-year-old son Adam.

Bless us: Adam O'Connor, now three, with his parents in Sydney after the blessing service

The ceremony was staged for the benefit of singer Miss Brooke Wilson's family, some of whom had been unable to make the long journey to Britain for the couple's big day at Highclere Castle near Newbury four months ago. After the blessing, the party took a boat to Sydney's famous harbour before a reception held at Catalina's, a fashionable restaurant.

Miss Brooke Wilson met Countdown presenter O'Connor as a 21-year-old hostess on a revival of the Sixties game show Take Your Pick.

First son: Des and Jodie welcome baby Adam

The pair were together for 17 years before they married, during which time she gave birth to Adam, who was ringbearer at their wedding.

He was the first son for O'Connor, who has had four daughters - Karen, Tracy, Samantha and Kristina - by three wives.
