Dressed in skin-tight diving gear which showed off his lithe figure, the youthful Dustin Hoffman set The Graduate alight - and many female hearts racing.
Unfortunately, the passage of time has not been kind.
As he unintentionally recreated the look with a black scuba mask, the veteran actor did nothing to hide his not-so-inconsiderable girth.

Times have changed: Dustin Hoffman in The Graduate (left) and on the beach this week
Hoffman, now 70 but just 29 when The Graduate was made, enjoyed the sunshine during a vacation in St Barths Island, French West Indies.
Clearly he has enjoyed a lifetime of fine food and wine, as the septuagenerian looks the epitome of the wealthy A-lister.
But despite his advancing years, Hoffman, who recently starred in the newly released movie Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium, is still is demand, and competing for film roles.
He told The Times: "You look around and say, 'What? Morgan Freeman is God? Again? Why didn't I know about that part?'".
He has just wrapped up another film, the British Last Chance Harvey, co-starring Emma Thompson.
He added: "I love acting, and I'm not going to determine what I do based on what I fear other people might think. I do what I want to do."
