EastEnder Charlie collapses after being poisoned by giant tarantula

EastEnders' cabbie Charlie Slater gets a nasty shock when he thinks he has been poisoned.

But the illness doesn't come from anything he eats - the culprit is a giant tarantula.

The eight-legged amphibian crawls onto Charlie as he carries a box of bananas from Billy's stall.

The scare causes a feisty Mo to protest outside of  Billy's stall claiming that his bananas have been contaminated with an infestation of spiders.

Holding a banner with bananas and spiders she urged passer-bys not to buy from the contaminated fruit and veg stall.

This proves to be very bad for business and stall owner Ian Beale is not at all pleased with the goings on.

A weary Billy begs her to stop her campaign as he may lose his job but tenacious Mo continues her protest which could lead to Ian's demise.
