Ex-boy band star James joins Chicago

Former Blue star Duncan James is to star in West End musical Chicago.

James will play sleazy lawyer Billy Flynn at London's Cambridge Theatre from July 2. The 29-year-old recently appeared in ITV1 skating show Dancing On Ice.

As a member of boy band Blue, he had three chart-topping albums and hits including All Rise, One Love and Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.
The group split in 2005 and James embarked on a short-lived solo career.

He will take over from Dynasty star Maxwell Caulfield to perform for a limited seven-week season.

Chicago is one of the most successful shows in the West End and the London production celebrates its 10th anniversary in November.
