Ex-Oasis wife Meg Mathews sells up

Meg Mathews, the former wife of Oasis's Noel Gallagher, is to auction almost the entire contents of her London home.

The lots range from signed Sex Pistols screenprints to an antique French ebonised double bed with a matching black PVC headboard.

Mathews, 41, is selling the £3.5 million house she shares with daughter Anais, seven, in London's Regent's Park and plans to move to Primrose Hill.

She is keeping only personal items and some cherished books and prints.

The clear-out was inspired by her recent stint in rehab following years of hard partying.

Mathews said: "I just woke up one Sunday morning and thought, 'I feel so clean and so cleansed. I have worked so hard at this - the only area I need to work out is where I am.'

"The house doesn't feel right any more. I knew I had to move. I don't feel attached to anything here." Mathews paid £1.9million for the fivestorey Regency house in 2001 after her divorce.

She decorated it herself - the shocking pink hall is lit by a pink crystal chandelier and features a giant Louis Vuitton leather trunk, both for sale.

Other lots include a rectangular teak dining table and a Gucci pewter and glass dinner service with medieval-style goblets and bejewelled napkin rings.

She is even selling the furniture from her burlesque-style black bedroom, with its PVC padded walls and skull and crossbones wallpaper designed by her.

Mathews said her new home would be a study in minimalism.

All the items will be available to bid for at www.flogit4u.com.

The house is on the market with London's Knight Frank (020 7586 2777, www.knightfrank.co.uk).
