The Manchester United star took time out of showering his lover with affection to put his diving expertise to work as he cooled off .

After spending the previous day lounging on the beach with Nereida, Ronaldo took the action back onto his yacht and spent yesterday plunging off the diving board into the depths of the sea.

During their holiday, the couple added extra heat to the already soaring temperatures with a romantic beach front display.

The couple put on many a public display of affection on their romantic getaway, showering each other with kisses as they relaxed on a sun lounger.

They seemed unconcerned by the presence of fellow beach goers, no doubt surprising onlookers with their affectionate behaviour.

The pair have reportedly been sailing around the Mediterranean after Ronaldo hired out a £10million luxury yacht.

Ronaldo chose to holiday with his girlfriend rather than clear up the confusion over whether he will honour the four remaining years of his Manchester United contract or succumb to a bid by Real Madrid which could reportedly earn him £180,000 a week.

Some newspapers have estimated Ronaldo could receive a £80million transfer fee.

The Manchester United player has been dating Nereida, a struggling model who worked in health care, since January after the pair met at a Spanish nightclub.

He regularly flew the 24-year-old brunette from her home in Mallorca to watch him in action during the season.

In return, she proved she takes her role as a WAG seriously, turning up to a match at Old Trafford in April wearing a specially-designed 'R7' logo diamond earring in honour of the striker's United number 7 shirt.
