Ex-wife Billie shows up to support Chris Evans as he celebrates his third marriage in Portugal

The joy was clear in the bride and groom's faces, as he celebrated his third marriage yesterday.

Unfortunately, so too was Evans's apparent case of sunburn, which was only emphasised by his choice of an off-white suit, tie and matching carnation.

Billie Piper heads back to the UK after attending the wedding of her ex-husband Chris

The DJ, 41, and Miss Shishmanian, 27, a golf writer, married on the weekend at a British register office, but flew 200 guests over to the Algarve coast for the party.

Family and friends - including ex-wife Billie Piper, 24, and her fiance Laurence Fox - were treated to a seafood feast at the O Alambique restaurant near Faro, washed down with the finest port.

Evans came out to pose for these pictures and remarked simply: "We've had a fantastic day. Cheers".

He had apparently had his "first ever" stag do for this wedding, his third.

Preparations for the celebration had been going on all day at the DJ's favourite restaurant, where he proposed to Miss Shishmanian earlier this summer.

The wedding party arrived at Faro airport to catch flights back to the UK arlier today.

He is a regular visitor there with his cousin Brian who runs a nearby golf resort at Quinto do Lago.

Evans and his new wife, a columnist for Golf Punk magazine and a part-time model, met last year when they became golf partners in a celebrity tournament in Newport, Wales. They have been inseparable for the past year.

He apparently decided to pop the question well before divorcing his second wife, Miss Piper, in May.

His wedding to the actress, was a much glitzier affair, in the Little Church of the West in Las Vegas.

Evans divorced his first wife Carol McGiffen, a presenter on the ITV series Loose Women, in 1998. He has a daughter Jade, 21, with former girlfriend Alison Ward.

Miss Piper and her new love had been expected to marry this summer in the Cotswolds but are now rumoured to be planning a Christmas wedding.
