Fancy bumping into you, Nicole

Some mothers-to-be prefer to keep their happy news to themselves until their bump gives them away.

Nicole Kidman is not one of them.

Only three months into her pregnancy, she wants to share her delight right now.

Strolling along a Sydney street, the 40-year-old Australian actress stopped repeatedly to show off her tiny bump to her companions.

But there is one thing Miss Kidman is keeping to herself.

On her website she would only say: "It's a secret" when asked by fans whether she was expecting a boy or a girl.

She is in her home city after finishing work on her latest film, Australia, directed by Baz Lurhmann.

The baby, which is due in June, is her first with second husband, country singer Keith Urban.

She also has two adopted children, Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13, with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Miss Kidman has told in the past of her devastation at miscarrying twice during her marriage to Cruise.

She and Urban, 40, the man she calls "the love of my life," told their families at Christmas that they were expecting a baby.

Her bump is barely visible

The couple endured a rocky start to their marriage. Shortly after their wedding in Sydney in June 2006, Urban was admitted to rehab to deal with a drink problem.

Miss Kidman, who supported him during his battle, has spoken frankly of her desire for more children.

"I just want to have this child safely and happily and then we will see," she said.

"Keith and I would really love to have a big family. But I'm so happy at the moment, I couldn't ask for anything more."
