Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw's fascination with fashion has reached bizarre new heights, judging from the latest on-set pictures from the highly-anticipated new film which is currently being shot in New York.
Actress Sarah Jessica-Parker donned a peculiar 'doughnut' shaped wrap over a pink mini brocade shift dress, continuing character Carrie's penchant for walking on fashion's wild side.
SJP, as she is more commonly known, wore the puffy blue concoction casually slung around her waist and shoulder, but one wonders how she kept a straight face during filming while wearing the ridiculous accessory.

Finger-lickin' bad: Actress Sarah Jessica Parker's Sex and the City character, Carrie Bradshaw, was seen wearing another bizarre outfit in New York yesterday, a mini dress accessorised with a blue doughnut-shaped wrap!
To complete the eye-watering outfit, SJP, 42, wore a pair of white ankle boot-style clogs, which made the most of her coltish legs.
The actress returned to filming on location in New York City after a brief trip to the Sundance Film Festival to promote new film, "Smart People".
She said: "I'm thrilled that we got to do it [SATC movie]...And the whole cast was there. I have a lot more work to get it done and up on the screen by May 30th."

Fashion disaster: The whole outfit is a fashion disaster, as Carrie wears a too-short dress, exposing skinny legs, and hideous clog-style white ankle boots
Later she changed into another high-fashion outfit, but in complete contrast to the fashion disaster she previously wore, the printed silk wrap coat, and chevron stripe tights recalled vintage Carrie Bradshaw as she looked stylish and chic.
Yesterday actress Lucy Liu from US show Cashmere Mafia, touted as the successor to the Sex and the City TV crown, was seen in a 'marshmallow' style cloak at a Paris fashion show.
And as the two food-influenced outfits reveal, it seems that designers are getting their inspiration from the larder this season.

Fashion geek: This outfit is more like it, as the unique printed wrap coat and chevron style tights recall vintage Carrie Bradshaw from the hit television series Sex and the City
One other more plausible explanation is, that the common denominator is that renowned Sex and the City fashion stylist, Patricia Field, is responsible for styling both Sex and the City: The Movie, and Cashmere Mafia, the new show from SATC creator Darren Star, starring Lucy Liu.
Recently, SJP revealed that despite her later success in Hollywood, she was an abject failure at school.
The Sex And The City star confessed she suffered during her school days.
"I failed in school in lots of ways, academically but also personally," admitted the actress.
"If I could fix those things I would. They do linger and I do recall them and I wish I could fix them."
