It has been the on-off relationship of the year but Jemima Khan finally appears to have put her love affair with actor Hugh Grant behind her.
Despite rumours of a secret engagement, sources close to Jemima say the 33-year-old heiress is now just friends with the Notting Hill star and has been quietly seeing entrepreneur Ben Elliot, Camilla Parker Bowles's nephew.

The couple, who have been friends for years and attended Bristol University together, were photographed earlier this month leaving Prince William's favourite London nightclub, Mahiki.
According to a fellow reveller, the pair, who arrived and left together, were "virtually cheek to cheek".
The onlooker said: "Jemima was all over Ben, they looked very natural together.

"They were incredibly close. They were only there for about half an hour but their body language spoke volumes. It looked more intense than just a friendly chat.
"Jemima was wearing a revealing short dress with a cut-out flower shape on the front showing her cleavage.
"She had her hand on Ben's knee at one point and was constantly whispering in his ear. They were getting on famously.

Friends say the couple have been enjoying a "flirtation" for several weeks and last night one of Ben's closest friends told The Mail on Sunday: "They are both single and gorgeous, so why not?
"There are definitely whispers of a romance, I've heard them, we have all heard them, but Ben is saying it's nothing serious, so it's probably just a bit of fun."
Ben, 31, and Jemima, who has two sons from her marriage to cricketer Imran Khan, have also been spotted out together at another West London nightclub, Amika in Kensington, where they attended an evening hosted by the Referendum Party.
According to sources at the club, they sat at a table before leaving together.
"They spent much of the night on their own talking," said one guest.
"They seemed very relaxed in each other's company. They left together but were very low key."
Poignantly, the pair also sat next to each other at the recent funeral of Mark Birley, Jemima's stepfather.
"There was definitely a closeness between them," said a source.
Last week Jemima was also spotted with recently separated millionaire Damian Aspinall coming out of the Met bar on Hyde Park Corner but friends insist that relationship is platonic.
While Jemima is clearly enjoying her new life as a singleton, Hugh Grant has also happily slipped back into bachelor life.
The 47-year-old actor was pictured partying with a pair of pretty young twentysomethings on a night out in London on Wednesday.
Ben Elliot, whose ex-girlfriends include designer Jade Jagger and TV presenter Cat Deeley, was most recently linked with Portuguese model Ines Ferro Ribeiro, a 24-year-old student at the LSE. But friends say he is now single.
His links with Jemima's family go back a long way. He worked as a consultant for Jemima's father Sir James Goldsmith while he was studying at Bristol with Jemima and her brother Zac.
He then founded the K-Bar, launched celebrity hotspot Rock London, established a growing number of Fluid Juice Bars and was a co-founder of Quintessentially, a party and events organiser for celebrities in London.
He also works on the Business for Sterling campaign and has run focus groups for the Prince's Trust.
A spokesman for his company declined to comment.
