Food-crazed: Housemates fantasise about their dream meals after a week of porridge and lentils

After a week of porridge and lentils the food-starved housemates are so excited about this week's luxury food budget, it is all they can think about.

The group were told yesterday that they passed their Japanese-themed shopping task - giving each housemate £5 to spend each day.

As they gathered around the table this morning the housemates were already imagining their dream shopping list.

When the housemates woke up early this morning, cookie-lover Kathreya began the food-themed conversation.

'I look like a potato', she blurted out.

'You can only look like a potato for so long in here before you disintegrate,' Dennis laughed.

But the talk of food has got the housemates thinking.

Luke started licking his lips as he thought of lamb, while Dennis told the group he was craving a Mexican night with fajitas.

'I still feel down sometimes when I think about that picnic,' Dale told them.

But professional chef came up with a better idea and suggested 'confit chicken croquettes'.

Kathreya offered to cook a Thai dish for the house while Rex said he would make apple crumble and rice pudding for dessert.

'We can afford it. Alex is paying for tonight,' he joked.

But Dale told the housemates he would rather have lots of bland food than small amounts of tasty food.
