Freedom at last for Peaches Geldof as she moves out

Peaches Geldof has moved out of the family home and into her own bachelorette pad.

The 18-year-old - whose recent past has included Sir-Bob-imposed curfews during her A-levels, and bans from DJ gigs and music festivals - has moved from London's Battersea to the capital's more trendy neighbourhood of Islington.

It means the wannabe wild child will be free to pursue the life she has wanted to lead without Sir Bob's watchful eye.

But, instead of residing with her long-term boyfriend Fred Les, she has decided to move into a rented flat with an old friend.

We're told: "Peaches has been desperate to move out of her dad's place for ages now - but all the time she was at school he was refusing to let her go, as he wanted to keep an eye on her and make sure she got through her exams.

"But after that there wasn't a lot he could do to convince her to stay with him, so she didn't waste any time in finding somewhere with a friend. She is enjoying herself."

Peaches, who has for the last year been trying hard (in vain, we must add) to be taken seriously as a DJ, is a regular on the party circuit.

Last night she had one of her typical nights out, firstly hitting London's Madame Jo Jo's club before moving onto the nearby Ghetto venue with a bunch of pals.

However, kind Bob is understood to be helping her out financially all of the time she remains a student.

Our source said: "Bob will be keeping an eye on her from afar. He knows deep down she isn't a stupid girl but she has a habit of falling in with the wrong people and getting into bother."

Last year Peaches found herself in hot water after being accused of shoplifting from trendy Oxford Circus store, Urban Outfitters.

She vehemently denied the accusation.

Peaches, daughter of the late Paula Yates, is one of the capital's young brat-pack and contributes to the clubbing scene by DJ-ing at parties and nightclubs.

Despite being panned most of the time, she is thought to charge around £1,500-a-pop.

Well, we did say she's a bright girl. At the weekend, Peaches left bosses at the V Festival astonished with her diva-like sulking.

She was due to DJ the opening set at one of the VIP tents on Saturday but insisted that she was moved to a later slot.

When it was eventually her turn to hit the stage, her record spinning was so bad that she cleared the dancefloor.

Poor Peaches...
