Angelina Jolie was fifth, Donna Air sixth and Gwen Stefani seventh. Liz Hurley, who recently wed Arun Nayar with four-year-old son Damian as pageboy, was eighth.

DJ Sara Cox and Big Brother host Davina McCall completed the list. But supermodel Kate Moss was far behind with just 1% of the vote.

The survey proves men want women to be glamorous even when they have kids in tow.

A magazine spokesman said: "It's great to see successful, beautiful women flying the flag for mums everywhere.

"The glamorous world of celebrity is a long way removed from the lives of most of us, but perhaps that's why we love these career-and-child-juggling women so much."
