GMTV's sofa queen Lorraine Kelly turns couch potato after piling on the pounds

GMTV presenter Lorraine Kelly has famously said 'life's too short to glower at a lettuce leaf'.
But now it seems GMTV's sofa queen has turned into a decidedly unfit couch potato as she unveiled her bulging middle while out in west London with her daughter Rosie, 14.
The 48-year-old presenter was seen out looking less than her usual size 12 svelte self, after dropping a dress size in six weeks earlier this year.
Battle: Lorraine Kelly has famously battled with her weight, and after leading a diet club earlier this year appears to have regained the weight she lost
Lorraine has famously waged a battle with her weight since she was 16, and once said that she has lost and gained the equivalent of three rugby players.
And now it appears her team may be set to expand as the television presenter was looking decidedly out of shape after piling on the pounds again.
Earlier this year, Lorraine spoke about her determination to get fit and healthy, in an effort to shed the pounds.
Bulge: Despite working hard to drop a dress size in six weeks, Lorraine appears to have lost her battle of the bulge again as she stepped out in London
And as the spokesperson of Fit Squad - a diet club run by the Sun newspaper - she encouraged women to drop a dress size in six weeks.
But now she appears to be the leader of the unfit squad.
Lorraine wrote in the Sun in January: 'I have continued to eat like a piglet all through the holidays.
'I've been eating massive meals and picking away at nibbles, sweets and crisps. Like most of you, I am feeling a wee bit bloated!
'I also feel really sluggish so I need to do something before I am on that slippery slope to being really unhealthy.'
Size 12 Lorraine had swelled to a size 14 but soon shed the weight with a combination of healthy eating and exercise.
Fitness queen: Lorraine has made two fitness DVDs, including this 2004 one encouraging women to walk off the pounds
She has said: 'Food is one of the great joys in life and for so many women it has become the enemy. It's just daft. Life's too short to glower at a lettuce leaf.'
Lorraine, who has been married to cameraman Steve Smith for 23 years, gained 4 stone after having daughter Rosie.
She slimmed down with the help of a personal trainer and released the first of two exercise videos.
But the weight came back in 2001 after she suffered the ordeal of a miscarriage.
She says she has tried every fad diet and always puts the weight she has lost back on.
She has said: 'The only way to lose weight is to eat less rubbish and do more exercise. It's that simple and that hard.'
