Fight: Jade became embroiled in a cat fight at an Essex club last night

An onlooker said the mother of two was eventually asked to leave the venue after refusing to calm down but her spokesman claimed she "left of her own volition".

He said: "Jade was a victim of an unprovoked attack by another girl.

"She tried to defend herself and was not asked to leave by the club."

Later the mother-of-two played down the incident at the Players Lounge in Buckhurst Hill. She is reported to have said: "I was provoked by some random stranger. She tried to put a glass in my face. The girl didn't say anything.

"The bouncers in the club were really good and they sorted it out straight away. She didn't get her hands on me and I didn't get my hands on her.

"I could not get near her. She then left and I was about to leave anyway.

"She seemed to be with a group of her friends. I don't know why the girl came at me with a glass. I was not injured."

Goody, of Upshire, Essex, added that she had not contacted the police over the incident.

A spokesman for the club said: "We would never comment on an individual customer."

The reality TV star has a history of fiery behaviour - she was embroiled in a race row after a heated showdown with Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty on the Channel 4 show.

It started over a chicken stock cube: Shilpa claimed she ordered them and Jade insisted she hadn't.

During the argument, Jade said: "You're a liar and a fake. You're not in Neverland here, you're not no Princess, you are normal so learn to live with it. You need a day in the slums.

"What's her surname anyway? Shilpa Cookamada? Shilpa Rockamada? Is it Shilpa Poppadom?"

After she was evicted from the house, she checked into the Priory Clinic for a brief stint to be treated for depression, and also signed up for anger management sessions.

Of her treatment of Shetty, she later declared: "I was shocked to see how I behaved. I was shocked and disgusted at myself.

"Maybe I'm just really stupid and nasty at heart. But I really don't think I am."
