The operation was performed by Beverly Hills cosmetic surgeon Dr. Jan Adams, who denies being responsible for her death.

Jan Adams: The plastic surgeon went on chatshow Larry King live, and then refused to talk about Dr Donda West's surgery out of 'respect' for Kanye West's family

The Los Angeles Coroner has launched an investigation into her death.

The evening before the funeral, Kanye took to the stage in Brussels, Belgium, and paid tribute to his mother.

"If she was here, she would tell me to get on that stage and kill it," the rapper said.

Meanwhile, a plastic surgeon who operated on Kanye West's mother the day before she died abruptly walked off CNN's "Larry King Live" during an interview last night with the talk show host.

Dr. Jan Adams said he initially agreed to speak with King to clear up what he said were inaccurate reports about him in the news media.

But before walking off he said West's family asked him not to appear on the show.

"I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for the West family and they have asked me not to go on," he said.

As Adams got up from his chair to shake King's hand, the TV host asked whether the surgeon would ever answer questions surrounding Donda West's death.

"When they're comfortable, then I'll be comfortable. If they're never comfortable, then I'll never be comfortable."

The coroner has said early indications suggest West died from surgical complications.

An official cause of death won't be determined for weeks, pending the results of toxicology and other tests.

Kanye has just been named one of the 'Men of the Year' by GQ magazine, and is three different cover stars, along with Daniel Craig and former President Bill Clinton.

The rapper will resume his world tour, and is scheduled to perform at the O2 Dome tonight.
