Just as the show's hosts, Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris, thought they were waving her off, she reached down into her cleavage and pulled out a crumpled piece of paper containing her speech.
Heather faces the cameras after being booted off the show.
In it, Heather, 39, gushingly told how "everyone from five to 85-year-olds" had approached her and said: "Oh my God! Now I want to dance!" thanks to her performances during the last six weeks.
She then made a bizarre plea to the audience to go vegan, suggesting they take part in a "No Meat Monday".
The charity campaigner has won widespread acclaim for performing with an artificial leg on the US version of Strictly Come Dancing.
The judges gave her a standing ovation when she performed a backflip during the mambo.
But she and Roberts were last night fifth out of seven remaining pairs for their paso doble.
The public vote, which counts for half the rankings, was even worse and they were voted off the show.
The remaining contestants include boxing champion Laila Ali (daughter of Muhammad Ali), country music star Billy Ray Cyrus, former ' Nsync boy- band member Joey Fatone and Olympic speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno.
