Holly Willoughby covers up ... (well, a little bit)

Viewers have spent weeks marvelling over, and indeed complaining about, Holly Willoughby's ever-plunging neckline.

Last night the costume department of ITV's Dancing On Ice still appeared to be suffering from a shortage of glittery fabric.

While presenter Miss Willoughby's appearance was not quite so brassy as the previous week, the neckline was arguably still some way south of suitable for the 6.15pm show.

Co-host Phillip Schofield looked relieved not to be competing so much with 26-year-old Holly's attention-grabbing decolletage.

He even made light of the dress which had grabbed so many headlines on the previous show, saying: "Millions of you watched last week and were thinking by the end of the night 'one of you is going to be out'. I must say you've got a lovely dress on tonight."

This time around Miss Willoughby looked to have taken the advice from viewers who had complained about her previous revealing cream outfit.

Not only did she appear better supported with her undergarments this time, but the dress - this time a black sequined gown - also came a lot higher up at the front and gaped a lot less around her neck.

For her part, Holly said today she couldn't understand what all the fuss was about.

During an appearance on Loose Women this afternoon, she said: "It's just the weirdest thing that has ever happened. It's like i'm living in someone else's world."

After last Sunday's show, one viewer, writing on a TV messageboard, said: "Why doesn't Holly Willoughby stop messing around and just do the show topless?"

Another wrote: "My husband and I have great fun trying to bet how low her top will be each week. She does struggle to keep them in, doesn't she?"

A third said: "Why does every woman money pit on TV these days only seem to wear clothes which show their wares?"

One viewer pointed out that the show is watched by many children.

They said: "My two children, aged eight and ten, love the show and we all watch it together as a family before their bedtime, as it starts at 6.15pm. But even they were asking why she was wearing very little."

This is not the first time the former underwear model's 32D figure has got her into trouble. In 2004, there were complaints after one of her breasts popped out as she danced on the ITV Saturday morning children's programme Ministry Of Mayhem.
