Hollywood horror film sparks supernatural craze as viewers send in ghostly images
21 March 2008
Spooky goings-on have been captured on camera by amateur ghost hunters.
Mysterious figures have been caught in the backgrounds of photographs uploaded on the internet for a website promoting new horror film Shutter, starring Joshua Jackson, out in U.S cinemas tonight.
The website - www.shutter-movie.com - has been inundated with pictures of supposed spirits as visitors to the site have been encouraged to rate the snaps on how real they think they are.

The winning photograph is then analysed by a spirit expert.
The film is about a newlywed couple who experience a tragic car accident which leads to the death of a young girl.
But following the crash, strange white blurs appear in many of the couple's photographs as they are led to believe the blurs are the spirit of the dead girl who they hit on the road.
