Housemates in tears as Mohamed and Kat are booted out in a surprise double eviction

Big Brother housemates were in tears tonight as Mo and Kat were booted out in a surprise eviction.

They were unaware they were going to be evicted until they were told to leave the house shortly before 10pm.

The first to leave was 24-year-old toy demonstrator Mohamed who was quickly followed by 30-year-old Thai massage therapist Kathreya.

Both housemates left wearing white dressing gowns which they were wearing to impersonate Mohamed as part of a task.

After his eviction Mohamed said: 'I'm still shaking - I was not expecting that at all.
I wish I had brought my comb out with me!'

And after watching a video montage about his eating habits he defended his healthy appetite.

He said: 'They were calling me 'greedy Mo' but I thought they meant it as a joke.

'I did not change because that's who I am and if there's food left over I will eat it, because there's other people in the world who are starving.'

He also dismissed Sara's flirtation with Darnell, saying it 'does not mean anything', and he backed Darnell to win.

When Kathreya's eviction was announced Darnell shrieked: 'No Way! No way!' and began sobbing and screaming.

The tearful housemates then embraced her as she began to cry.

As she left the house she shouted: 'Happy house I love you" and urged the remaining housemates to "sing happy house for me'.

After her eviction she told host Davina McCall she would never get over Mohamed's surprise eviction and said she was surprised by the crowd's mixed reaction to her.

She said: 'I'm extremely happy actually. I think I'm like English Marmite, sometimes you love me and sometimes you hate me.

'I might be a bit annoying but I would rather by happy than be miserable.'

She also said valued her friendship with all the housemates, especially Rachel and Rex.

She said of Rex: 'I'm his Thai sister and he is my English brother - I love him! However much he tries to be rude it's just a joke.'

She then burst into an impromptu rendition of If You're Happy and You Know It before being presented with a giant cookie.

The five remaining housemates are Mikey, Rex, Sara, Darnell and Rachel.

Mikey is the the bookies' favourite to win, with odds of 6/5 in his favour.

Meanwhile, Mikey is the bookies' favourite to win, with odds of 6/5 in his favour while Mohamed is the least likely to last until Friday, with odds of 100/1 to win.

Tuesday's eviction is being based on public votes for who should win the series.

Five contestants will remain in the house competing for the £100,000 prize.
