'Hugh Grant could have five kids by now if he'd stayed with me,' says Liz Hurley

Liz Hurley has opened up about her relationship with former love Hugh Grant in an emotional interview, admitting that she sometimes wishes that they’d had children together.

She also reveals the woman she thinks was a perfect match for Grant – actress Sandra Bullock.

“Sometimes Hugh and I can get morbid and say we could have had five children by now, because we were together since we were 21.”

‘But there was never a time when either of us wanted it. So you can’t really regret that.” She tells Harpers Bazaar magazine.

Grant and Hurley dated for 13 years and have remained the best of friends since their split in 2000 - she married Indian businessman Arun Nayar last year.

The 47-year-old actor is godfather to her son Damian - from a brief relationship with Hollywood producer Steve Bing – and is often pictured with Hurley and her new husband.

Grant is currently single after splitting from Jemima Khan and Hurley says that she hopes he’ll find the female equivalent of Nayar.

“Women flock to Hugh. He’s like Austin Powers: Everyone worships him,” She says, adding that Sandra Bullock – his co-star in Two Weeks Notice – would’ve been “a great match for him”.

The model and actress, 43, speaks candidly about her love for the three men in her life – Nayar, Grant and son Damian, in the interview and confesses that they are the centre of her world:

“If I’m alone with Hugh, Arun and Damian, I can turn off my cell phone…No-one else really matters,” She says.

She also reveals that Damian hates the paparazzi and that the family are moving to the country to save him from “a really London upbringing.”

When asked if she is planning on more children, she confesses that she’d love to have a child with Nayar, 44, but is “definitely not pregnant”, adding that Damian calls him ‘Daddy’.

“Damian was nine months old when I met Arun. He has never known a day in his life without Arun.” She says.
