'I'm no home wrecker' Lindsay Lohan says in her first post-rehab interview

Actress Lindsay Lohan has denied that she is responsible for the break up of a British heiress and her musican husband.

In her first interview since leaving rehab last Friday, Lohan insists that she and Tony Allen, lead singer in the rock band Dead Stays Alive, are just friends.

She has attempted to set the record straight following allegations that she had sex with Allen in a toilet in the Cirque Lodge clinic in Utah, where they met while receiving treatment.

The claims came after Allen's wife Stephanie, whose family is worth £720m, started divorce proceedings.

Lohan told US magazine In Touch Weekly: "Rumours are rumours. I don't really have anything to say about that. Tony and I were just friends and if anyone has anything negative to say, I would just like to ask, 'Why?'"

The divorce papers accused Tony of adultery, sparking rumours that he and Lohan were romantically involved.

Lohan added: "We were just friends and that was it."

The 21-year-old troubled star has also revealed that there is a new man in her life and that her "self-destructive" partying days are over. Her new boyfriend is 25-year-old snowboarder Riley Giles who she met during her stay at the rehab centre.

"Yes, I am seeing someone.I am really happy and taking it day by day."

The troubled star has opened up about the positive influence rehab has had on her life, including making up with her father.

"I think it was really important for me to get a connection back with my dad because I hadn't had that in a while.

"The trouble in my family resulted in me rebelling and doing things to try to get my parents' attention.

"But all in all, it's better for me now to have them [in my life]. It's healthy."

The Mean Girls star has described rehab as a humbling experience:

"It was hard surrendering and having people tell me what to do. I liked how I was treated as a normal person. I had to look out for myself.

"I kept the common areas clean. I liked making coffee for the gym the best.

"It's been a great experience. I'm really grateful. Everything happens for a reason and I am in the right place now."

Lohan has admitted to mistakes in the past following her arrest for drink driving on July 24, when she was pulled over in California after chasing her assistant's mother.

It was her second drink driving arrest in less than two months.

Last month, a judge ordered that she serve one day in jail.

"I just want to apologise to any of my fans that look up to me, especially my younger fans, for setting the examples that I didn't mean to set. That is one of the reasons that I want to change things.

"I don't want to be known as that person. Maybe me not going out as much will help. I want to do what's right for my family as well as what is right for me."

The star is determined to make amends after reconciling differences in her family as she spends less time in LA and surrounds herself with a new circle of friends.

"My real friends are the ones who are appreciative of what I have done to take care of myself and change my life. They are the ones who don't want me back in LA to go party."
