Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson: The singer and chat show host is said to have decided on Castell Coch near Cardiff as a wedding venue
There is room for only 30 guests, but the function room holds more than 200.
According to a report in The Sun, a friend of Charlotte's said: "Charlotte is putting on weight and she's anxious to have the wedding before she gets too big.
The pair are expected to wed at the end of April after Charlotte flies back from a luxury 'bonding' break in Thailand with Gavin's sister Sarah, 23.
An excited Gavin Henson is said to want to know the sex of their new baby but Charlotte is refusing to find out.
Apparently, Gavin, 25, wants medics to tell them if it is a boy or a girl - but Charlotte wants it a secret until the birth.
Her proud Maria said: "Gavin is keen to know the sex of the baby, but Charlotte won't let him find out.
"She sees it as one of the last few real surprises - to wait until the baby's born before you know if it's a girl or a boy."
Charlotte and Gavin have been together for two years and share a £500,000 house in Llandaff, Cardiff.
Former wildchild turned TV chat show host Charlotte has pledged to stay off the booze and cigarettes while she is pregnant.
Maria, 41, said: "Charlotte is doing really well though. She looks great.
"I, on the other hand, feel way too young to be a grandmother."
