She is desperate to conquer Hollywood. So perhaps Kylie Minogue was hoping to pick up a few tips from the stars on the red carpet at Cannes.
She certainly had the poses down pat, making the most of the knee-length Dolce and Gabbana dress exposing her toned midriff.
Her hair, too, was perfectly dramatic - a beehive with a thick lock of hair swept backwards.

Indeed, she gave a much more polished performance at the premiere of Oceans 13 than Angelina Jolie, who looked a little windswept.
Kylie was joined at the premiere by the stars of the movie, Hollywood hunks/humanitarians Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
Ocean's Thirteen is the third in a series of heist films directed by Steven Soderbergh in the mould of the "rat pack" movies of the 1950s and 1960s.

The film - which will be released worldwide next month - was one of the most highly awaited entries in the official festival line-up, even though it was not in the race for the Palme d'Or prize.
As well as Clooney, Pitt and Damon, the movie stars Al Pacino, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle and Ellen Barkin.
It follows Danny Ocean (Clooney) and his team of hustlers as they knock over in spectacular fashion a Las Vegas casino run by Pacino's ruthless character.

Played mainly for laughs, it features many inside jokes, as when Pitt's character advises Ocean to try to keep trim (a reference to Clooney's overweight role in "Syriana"), and Ocean shoots back that Pitt should "settle down, have a couple of kids" (as he has, with girlfriend Angelina Jolie).
Pitt and Clooney have turned their Hollywood hype machine into a campaign to raise money for the refugees affected by conflict in the Darfur region of Sudan.

Earlier this week, they raised $10 million at a Cannes party, and in June they head to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Chicago for similar charity events
When questioned on their motives, Clooney said: "I'm not going to defend what I think is doing the right thing ... we are doing it because we all think we would be criminal if we didn't take it a step further."
Pitt, who has been in Cannes with girlfriend Angelina Jolie promoting her movie "A Mighty Heart" said of his working relationship with Clooney: "We've known each other too long - we know each other's families - and it's just an instantaneous rhythm that sets in".

"And, of course, the movies themselves have never been high drama ... (fun) is the point of it," he added.
The first movie was loved by audiences and raked in $450 million at box offices worldwide, and while some fans and critics were disappointed with "Twelve," it still reaped a sizeable haul of $363 million.

"Ocean's Thirteen" sticks closely to the formula of the first two: a lot of laughs, some silly gags and a big heist.
Danny Ocean (Clooney) calls upon his partners in crime, including master thief Rusty Ryan (Pitt) and geeky intellectual Linus Caldwell (Matt Damon), to hit the new Vegas casino being opened by shifty businessman Willy Bank (Al Pacino).
