Is Katie Holmes turning into husband Tom Cruise?

The actress looked uncannily similar to her Mission Impossible actor husband, as they both sported side-swept fringed hairdos on the red carpet at the premiere of Lions for Lambs in LA.

Statuesque Katie's brunette bobbed hair was tucked behind her ears for a sleek, modern take on her cropped hairstyle.

But pictured standing next to husband Tom - while conveniently wearing flat embellished sandals with her stunning Grecian-style black gown - Katie appeared to look more like the action star's sibling than his wife.

Katie and Tom are not the only celebrity couple who have begun to slowly morph into one another.

In fact, they appear to be taking a leaf from pals Victoria and David Beckham who have in past cut their hair in similar styles, and worn matching outfits.

Actors Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt are another pair who have at times appeared in public looking very similar to their partners.

Brad, who was married to Jennifer Aniston before he met Angelina Jolie once wore a similarly grungy look to his actress wife at a film premiere.

Meanwhile, Tom clearly has no problem with his wife turning into his clone. He heaped praise on wife Katie Holmes recently, saying his marriage is "all very good, all very lovely."

He said: "I have a lot of respect for her as an artist, as a woman.

"She's a very strong, gracious woman. She's very funny, a great comedian."
