This is the moment one man appears to take less interest in the dazzling charm of Big Brother evictee Stephanie McMichael - and rather more in the contents of her handbag.
It was followed by hours of anguish for the Liverpudlian when her mobile phone - jam-packed with celeb contacts - was allegedly stolen outside Chinawhite nightclub early this morning.
Hello, hello: the man appears to take a keen interest in the contents of Big Brother star Steph's handbag before she realised her phone was missing
She had been partying in Soho with glamour model Danielle Mason but her smile turned to tears when she left at 3.30am.
One of the pap pack, David Abbey, said: 'We saw the man and told Stephanie to watch her bag, then she looked and her phone was gone.
'She was really upset and challenged the man, who took off his jacket and told her to search him.'
The man behind Steph appears to be getting rather close for comfort
The alleged thief, who was pointed out by photographers invited Stephanie to search him before fleeing the scene
David said pickpockets are common outside celeb-packed West End clubs. Thieves often work in a team, with one snatching and then immediately handing the goods to their accomplice.
Ms McMichael later scoured the pavements and wailed:
'Where's the man?' before dissolving in tears on the phone - another one - to her mother.
