Julia Roberts has given birth to her third child, a boy named Henry Daniel Moder.

Henry was born Monday in Los Angeles. He weighed 8 1/2 pounds (3.8 kilograms).

The couple were married in July 2002 at Roberts' home in New Mexico.

Julia Roberts has been keeping a very low profile over the past few years as she concentrates on her family

Despite a string of high-profile love life disasters Roberts now seems to have found a measure of stability in her personal life.

Perhaps uniquely among her A-list peers, she shuns the limelight, rarely appearing at high-profile events or on the pages of gossip magazines.

Roberts won the best actress Oscar in 2001 for "Erin Brockovich."

Her next film is to be the drama "Charlie Wilson's War," directed by Mike Nichols, which is scheduled for release later this year.
