It's over: Jennifer Aniston has split from her British ex-brickie lover, model Paul Sculfor

Friends said the relationship fizzled out because of his demanding modelling schedule.

A source close to 38-year-old Jennifer told The Sun: "There was chemistry, but the truth is that Jen wants to settle down with a reliable man and start a family. Paul travels a lot and is constantly surrounded by beautiful women.

"They remain friends, but are just in different places."

Model Paul, originally from Upminster is reported to have recently flown back to the US, but has not met up with Jennifer, despite not having seen her for a number of weeks.

The couple were first spotted together sharing secret romantic dates back in May.

Paul — a close friend of Victoria Beckham stayed at Jennifer's homes in Hollywood and Malibu on a number of occasions, and it was thought that things would take a more serious turn.

The pair were introduced by David Arquette, husband of former Friends co-star Courteney Cox.

Jennifer was divorced from husband Brad Pitt in 2005, and split with actor Vince Vaugh last year.

At the time of her split from Vaugh, a friend said: "She feels like she is living in the shadow of her ex and that she is seen as the 'failed rebound girl'."
