Jade: Fighting cancer has given me the strength to finally visit my dad's grave

Jade Goody has revealed that her recent cervical cancer diagnosis has given her the strength to finally visit her estranged father's grave.

The heartbroken 27-year-old - who refused to attend addict's Andrew's funeral when he died of an heroin overdose two years ago - says that she felt a a desperate urge to try to 'make amends' after hearing the devastating news.

'I suddenly felt a desperate urge to make amends for all the traumas in my life and wanted to see my estranged brothers and finally visit my dad’s grave,' she told The Sun.

Estranged: Devastated Jade says that she will finally visit the grave of her father Andrew who died of a heroin overdose two years ago

Andrew Goody, 42, was found dead in a toilet at fast-food restaurant Kentucky Fried Chicken in Bournemouth, Dorset in 2005.

He was disowned by his daughter after spending much of her life in and out of prison, depending on crime to fund his addiction to heroin, cocaine and crack.

He is buried in Forest Gate, East London.

Jade's decision comes after she revealed that she will discover her chances of survivial in the next five days after being told she has a tumour the size of a tomato.

Goody will discover her fate on Friday following a full week of tests.

The mother-of-two was examined by medics under anaesthetic to determine how far the cancer in her cervix has spread.

Initial tests show the tumour has been growing undetected for three years and spread - meaning the Big Brother star is likely to face a secondary stage cancer battle.

Docotrs will also decide on whether to perform a radical hysterectomy, followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy in a bid to boost her chances of survival.

Jade told her close friend and life coach Sue Stone: 'The next five days are huge in my life and I'm terrified - I know I am facing a fight for my life. But I am determined to come through this,' the Daily Star Sunday reported.'

The devastating news was broken to Jade while she was starring on the Indian version of Big Brother.

Show produces dropped the bombshell when she came into the diary room. She was immediately withdrawn from the show and jetted home.

She is now under the care of top Harley Street Doctor Ann Coxon.

Ms Coxon has said that Jade may have been beyond help had she stayed in the Indian Big Brother house for three months.

Her publicist Max Clifford, who is paying for the tests, says her condition should have been diagnosed earlier.

He said: 'What has happened to Jade is very wrong and very worrying.

'According to the doctor I have put her in touch with this should have been diagnosed a long time ago.

'Thankfully Jade is now with the best people there are, having thorough investigations and then the treatment she desperately needs.'

Jade, who has two boys Freddie, three and Bobby, five, is being supported by her family and ex-boyfriend Jack Tweed.

Sue, 47, added: 'Jade is obviously very, very fearful. She's got two young boys and her first thoughts were about them and wanting to be with them as they grow up.

'She's very upset because she realises she won't be able to have the little girl she's always wanted.

'But she knows it's a battle for survival.

'I've told Jade that she's got to focus on being well.

'She's got a good support team around her with he mum (Jackiey), her ex Jack Tweed and a lot of good friends.'
