Jade Goody's groom's curfew lifted

The 21-year-old's curfew, imposed after his early release from a jail sentence for assault, meant he would have had to leave the celebration before 7pm.
Mr Straw said: "It is crucial offenders are treated equally but I was satisfied it was reasonable to allow this to take place."

Whitehall sources said it was an "exceptional case" and that prison officials were consulted and were confident there was no risk to the public.
Mr Straw's spokesman added that the minister "has enormous sympathy for Jade Goody and her family at this time. She is showing extraordinary courage and his thoughts are with her and her family."

Tweed will now be allowed to stay overnight at Down Hall Country House Hotel in Hertfordshire after the wedding on Sunday and until 3pm the next day. Goody's publicist Max Clifford said the reality TV star, who was told last week her cervical cancer had spread and she had just a couple of months to live, was "absolutely thrilled" at Mr Straw's decision, which will mean the "dream finish to her dream day".
Tweed served five months of an 18-month sentence in Norfolk's Wayland Prison for beating up a 16-year-old boy with a golf club. He was granted early release on the condition he wears a tag and keeps to his curfew.
Mr Straw stepped in after Tweed's plea to the prison govenor to relax his curfew conditions for the wedding night was rejected. Goody, 27, has been preparing the wedding for days, after Tweed proposed last week. Celebrity friends have offered their help, with Girls Aloud saying they are desperately trying to free up their schedule to play at the wedding and Elton John saying Goody and Tweed could marry at his mansion.
A source said: "It would have destroyed Jack and Jade's wedding if the curfew hadn't been lifted. They wouldn't have been able to sit down and have a proper meal or a first dance."
Goody was diagnosed with cancer last August when she was appearing on India's Big Brother. The disease spread despite intensive treatment.
The star is now set to earn an estimated £1m in broadcast and magazine rights which she will put in a trust fund for her two young sons.
