Jamie orders in his Xmas lunch

He may have led the way in the campaign against junk food, but we can reveal Jamie Oliver and his family will be tucking into a takeaway on Christmas Day. The image of the TV chef laying into mothers feeding their school kids kebabs is still very fresh in our minds, so has he finally cracked?

Takeout: Jamie has ordered from posh deli Melrose And Morgan

Well, not quite. While Jamie doesn't plan to get his hands dirty on Christmas day for his wife Jools and their daughters Poppy Honey, six, and Daisy, five; the family will hardly be ordering

in pizza. For the TV star is planning to order in "Christmas In A Box" from posh Primrose Hill deli Melrose And Morgan.

The boxes cost £39.95 a head, and include a choice of turkey or goose with all the trimmings: oven ready roast potatoes and veg, stuffing, gravy, Christmas pudding with brandy custard and a cheese board.

A spy spotted Jamie in the shop on Sunday, and told us: "He was chatting to the staff about the boxes. He had a cheeky look around to make sure no-one had seen him and put a finger to his lips, joking that they should keep quiet about it.

"Jamie and Jools are big fans of the deli and regularly buy pastries and handmade chocolates from there.

"Jools is pregnant with their third child, and Jamie joked that Jools might need two Christmas boxes, as she was eating loads at the moment."

The family live in a £3 million town house around the corner from the shop, which is also frequented by the likes of David Walliams and Kate Moss.
