Seymour, 56, who starred in the James Bond movie Live And Let Die, upset locals after she was given a 24-hour alcohol and entertainment licence for St Catherine's Court, near Bath.

She and producer husband James Keach reportedly live there for three months a year and rent out the property for private functions.

But neighbours say the Grade I-listed venue is unsuitable for hosting large corporate parties and are fed up with revellers disturbing their tranquillity.

Delivery vans and lorries have begun clogging up the singletrack lane since the licence was agreed in June. St Catherine's Valley residents plan a march on her home on Sunday to hand over a petition of hundreds of signatures.

Jane Jones, 53, said: "She just ignores our letters and doesn't answer the door.

"They are the absent neighbours from hell. She will go back to America and just count the money while the rest of us have to live here and put up with the disruption."

St Catherine's Court: Jane Seymour's lavish country house in the Cotswolds

The parish council has appealed to have the licence overturned.

A full hearing is expected to take place at Bath magistrates court in November.

Ian Plaister, chairman of St Catherine parish council, said: "The anger and frustration about the way in which the owners have chosen to go about this has left us with no option but legal action."

Hein van Vorstenbosch, who manages the estate for Seymour, has previously said he worked closely with Bath and North East Somerset council's licensing team over the application and the dispute was now in the hands of lawyers.
