The former Brookside star will play a trolley dolly in hit show Boeing Boeing.

She will appear opposite ex-EastEnder Tracy-Ann Oberman in the production at London's Comedy Theatre.

The 24-year-old is set to star as American air hostess Gloria in the farce about a playboy architect who is juggling three fiancees.

Ellison will star alongside ex-EastEnder Tracy-Ann Oberman in Boeing Boeing

The role was previously played by Tamzin Outhwaite and ex-Emmerdale actress Amy Nuttall.

It marks Ellison's return to the West End after a successful stint as Roxie Hart in Chicago, which she first took on in 2004 and reprised in 2006.

She is currently getting over her split from fiance Tony Richardson.

The couple were together for six years but broke up following reports he had cheated on her.

Ellison also has a TV job lined up as a judge in a new talent show based on the film Dirty Dancing. Ellison and Oberman join the Boeing Boeing cast on October 1.

Oberman is best known as Den Watts' wife Chrissie in BBC soap EastEnders.
