J-lo ditches the bling for jury duty

Jennifer Lopez has a go at being one of the common people as she arrives for jury duty at a court in Beverly Hills.

Making a supreme effort to keep it real, she wears clothing in muted colours, including faded jeans and a huge baggy overcoat to conceal the famous curves that have earned her the nickname 'La Guitarra'.

She went through security checks, which given the size of her designer tasselled bag, must have taken a while, before heading to sit with her fellow jurors.

Lopez is reported to have spent the morning at the courthouse, with an assistant in tow, but was not selected for jury service, and allowed to go home.

The Puerto Rican singer and actress has just released her first complete Spanish album, "Como Ama Una Mujer" or "How a Woman Loves."

Since marriage to husband of two years, singer Mark Anthony, Lopez has taken a more demure approach to dressing up, ditching her previous overtly sexy style.

But this outfit may just be a style make-under too far and doesn't look as if it will go down well on the block.

All is forgiven J-Lo, bring back the bling!
