JLS shocked by US success

The British boyband - who rose to fame on The X Factor - didn't expect US radio stations to play their music, and are prepared to work hard to turn the support into success.
Ortise Williams - who stars in the band alongside Aston Merrygold, JB Gill and Marvin Humes - said: "Coming to the States this soon wasn't part of our plan. We hoped it might happen in a few years, maybe once we had broken in Europe. Then radio stations started playing our music without knowing who we were.
"We were offered a deal and asked to come and meet the people supporting us.
JB added: "We're not complaining. Even to be given an opportunity over here is amazing. We're starting from scratch and we don't expect success overnight.
"We'll do this for a year - or two or three, if that's what it takes. We'd rather do it right than rush it.
"It can be hard to get up at 4am when you've been working until 1am, but we're four best friends who get to sing every day and see the world. We're having the time of our lives and we're determined to enjoy every second of it."
The band also relish the opportunity to meet people in the US, and think of everyone they come into contact with as a "potential fan".
Williams added to Culture: "We consider everyone we meet a potential fan. Plus sometimes they give us free meals."
