Comtesse Michele Elyzabeth, a self-styled French aristocrat, took the job last week - between selling her own brand of champagne, wines and caviar facials at her Sunset Boulevard salon.
The comtesse, also known as Michele Blanchard, described herself as one of the closest friends of the estranged wife of Sir Paul McCartney.
Last year she began working as Heather's US spokesman but disappeared from view after wrongly claiming on US TV that Heather had received a court order granting full custody of daughter Beatrice with Paul receiving visitation rights.

Bubbly: Countess Michele Elyzabeth, Heather's new PR, claims to have been close friends with Grace Kelly
Even Heather's then UK spokesperson Anya Noakes said at the time: "Michele is Heather's friend but I have no idea why she would have said this."

Sir Paul is said to loathe the comtesse.
One of her business lines is the £50, 90-minute, head massage and caviar concentrate facials (the cream is stripped of its fishy smell) at her Michele Elyzabeth Salon.
She is also president of Parapluie Incorporate which, according to its website, is a "public relations, marketing and management firm which specialises in entertainment, fashion, beauty and charity functions".
She is said to originate from France and started her career with PR firm Rogers and Cowan in the Seventies.

Rant: Heather was dumped by her PR after her outburst on GMTV
Her appearance on the TV show Extra, where she made the custody announcement while explaining Heather was not a gold-digger, brought her lots of personal publicity.
Her accent became a subject of derision on a You Tube clip and she was lampooned on the hit comedy show The Soup - on which she appeared live to throw a glass of her own rose champagne at the show host.
But now Heather has lost the services of spokesman Phil Hall after ignoring his advice, and her legal team, Prince Diana's divorce lawyers Mishcon de Reya, she is relying on the comtesse who claims to have been a close friend of Grace Kelly.
Heather has told friends the comtesse, is capable of handling the media as well as anyone.
She even appears on the comtesse's website - helpfully holding up a glass of her friend's £30 a bottle brut rose
champagne in a section entitled "Celebrity Endorsements".
The comtesse told The Mail on Sunday: "I have immense respect for Heather and her work.
"She is sick, sick, sick of all the negative publicity. I am on my way to dinner now and have to go."
