Love split: Kate Garraway's Strictly Come Dancing partner Anton Du Beke, and his radio and TV presenter girlfriend Caroline Feraday, pictured together in 2006, have decided to split
Anton's real name is Tony Beak, and he won't reveal his true age - saying it is somewhere between 29 and 45 - so there's little chance of getting the full story out of him.
But a source said: "Anton is a single man now but is sad about splitting with Caroline."
Anton/Tony, met BBC1 anchorwoman Caroline through friends. The source added: "Although they never moved in together, they were pretty inseparable. But they decided to call it a day because things weren't working.

Dance partners: Kate and Anton have formed a firm friendship since appearing on the popular show which has seen her battle harsh criticism from the judges
"It's a shame but they are both happy with the situation."
While no reason was given for the split, there is speculation that it might have something to do with the things Anton has been saying on the popular dance show.
He let slip recently: "Kate and I have been practising so hard. Sometimes I grab her a*** to put her in the mood or fondle her a little bit to get her ready to perform."
Kate's husband Derek Draper wrote recently about being a Strictly Come Dancing widower, he said: "I found out who Kate's partner is and I went online to check out this Anton du Beke character, hoping he might be gay. Damn, he's straight."

Straight: Kate's husband Derek Draper had hoped smooth Anton was gay - no such luck
Straight indeed, and now single - and no doubt raring to help Kate get ready to perform.
Anton, who began dancing at the age of just 14, hit the limelight in 2004 when he was one of the professional dancers to be selected for Celebrity Come Dancing.
Since then he has danced with Lesley Garrett, Esther Rantzen, former EastEnder Patsy Palmer and comedienne Jan Ravens.
But it is his collaboration with "two-left-footed" Kate Garraway that has brought him to the forefront of the show.
Kate, 39, is thought to be the luckiest contestant, because despite numerous maulings by judges, she is still in the competition.
It's not the first time there has been a relationship bust-up over the show. In 2004, newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky split from boyfriend Michael Barnard after having an affair with her dance partner Brendan Cole.
Here's hoping, for poor Derek's sake, that Kate resists Tony's charms.
