The 25-year-old took her sister Pippa to Chelsea's posh Raffles nightclub where she made it an evening to remember for a group of City boys as she joined them dancing to the nightspot's hippest tunes.
Kate told fellow clubbers: "I'm having a great time, I am drinking shots and I'm dancing with my sister and having fun."
Kate, who admitted she had bought her white top at House of Fraser in her hometown of Reading, was knocking back shots of white rum and liqueurs infused with rhubarb and apple, as well as bottled beer.
Among the traders thrilled to see her was Wiltshire-based fund manager Alex Boyd, with whom she enjoyed an energetic dance. At one stage she even ended up on her knees.
One fellow party goer said: "Kate was having a whale of a time, she seemed like a free spirit.
"She spent the whole night dancing with a group of male friends. She wasn't just dancing but she was also knocking back strong shots and beers with them too.
"Kate seemed to be having a good time, at one point she was dancing with a friend to the Pussycat Dolls, she was telling them that they were her favourite band."
By 3am Kate decided it was time to call it a night and with her sister firmly in tow she slipped out of the club's back door to avoid waiting cameramen.
She might be potential royalty, but she kept her common touch by walking home unescorted.
Kate has recently rekindled her relationship with Prince William and last weekend the couple enjoyed a break together at Balmoral.
After being cooped up with her possible future father-in-law Prince Charles, it's no wonder she grabbed the chance of a night on the town with both hands.
