Kate Moss moves her mother in to her new party pad

Kate Moss's partying days might be numbered with the news that she has moved her mother into her new house.

The supermodel hopes her Linda will give the place more of a family feel and provide a more stable home for her young daughter Lila Grace, five.

But it will be bad news for Kate's gang of late-night pals, who have been treated to several wild parties at the new St John's Wood pad since she moved in earlier this month.

Moving in: Kate Moss out in London this week with her new house mate and mother Linda

A source said: "Kate wants a more stable home life, and thinks Linda will give her that. She recently turned 34 and wants to tone down the partying lifestyle. She will no doubt find it tough though.

"Linda will be helping to look after Lila Grace, but she will also make sure the new home doesn't turn into a 24-hour party house, which it is in danger of becoming. She wants to make it a nice home for her granddaughter.

"The house is being totally renovated at the moment, and Linda has been able to choose how her new room will look. It's nothing fancy, but she has a massive luxury bathroom all to herself.

Quiet night: Kate, in a peculiar white coat, went to the pictures in north London last night to see her ex Johnny Depp's new film Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street

"She has moved all of her stuff into the house and the move will be as permanent as it has to be. Kate's happy to have her there for as long as she wants."

While the Primrose Hill set might be disappointed at the loss of a party venue, one group of people who will be breathing a collective sigh of relief will be Kate's neighbours.

The supermodel has had a quiet week so far, compared to her prolonged spell of partying last week.

The neighbours were so angry with a midnight party with Sadie Frost and Fran Cutler last week that they called the police. It was the last big bash at the new gaffe.

The following night Kate went to the Notting Hill Arts Club to see a couple of bands, followed by a late-night session at a friend's place.

And night after that she dined out with her mother Linda at Locanda Locatelli in Mayfair and was very well behaved. She hasn't hit the London party scene since.

Last night, she enjoyed quiet evening with Sadie Frost at the pictures - she went to see her ex Johnny Depp's new film, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street.

And with mum waiting at home for her, Kate called it a night early and headed straight home.
