Kate Moss: My new man reminds me of Pete

Unlucky in love Kate Moss is said to be on the rebound and terrified to be alone, according to a close pal - that's why she's started seeing her new man Jamie Hince.

Kate, 33, has told a friend that Jamie, who's in rock band The Kills, reminds her of her ex Pete Doherty, which is "quietly comforting" but also "drives her nuts".

Her pal revealed: "Kate says Jamie has little traits and characteristics that remind her of Pete. She always goes for the same sort of men - dangerous and seemingly unavailable, but with a good heart underneath.

"Jamie is a great guy and Kate really likes him. Sometimes she loves the fact he reminds her of Pete as that's what she knows best and it's comforting for her, but she has told us sometimes it drives her nuts."

Sources say Kate has nightmares about being by herself at the moment and that's why she's been hitting the town hard with her pals.

Kate and Jamie were first spotted out together two weeks ago in a North London pub.

They were introduced to each other by Kate's pal Sadie Frost backstage at one of Jamie's gigs.

He's a confessed chain smoker, but also a vegan who claims to do no drugs, which will be good for Kate.

But Jamie has a very close relationship with his bandmate Alison Mosshart and they used to share an apartment together.

A source says: "Jamie has a very intense relationship with Alison which can be difficult for other women to understand."

Kate was notoriously jealous of her ex Pete's wandering eye so this won't sit well with her.

Her pal said: "For someone so gorgeous, Kate does get very jealous of other women. She likes her men to only have eyes for her."

Kate's close friend Naomi Campbell has already given Jamie her seal of approval, saying: "I hear Kate has a new man. That's fantastic, good for her. As long as he's not like that [bleep] Pete.

"I hated the way he treated her. I don't mind if her new guy's a rocker, as long as he looks after her."
