Only days earlier the wife of Tom Cruise looked like she had been half eaten by her jeans, which came up beyond her waist and flared out at her feet.

In a series of fashion faux-pas, before that the actress went for a more scruffy look by wearing bleached jeans and a saggy t-shirt and cardigan - more reminiscent of an unkempt teenager than a Hollywood superstar.

Fans should not be surprised about her geeky tendencies, during a recent interview she said: 'I can't deny that I'm a nerd,' she said. 'I'm not a smooth type of girl.

'I run into things, I trip, I spill food, I say stupid things - I really don't have it all together. But I'm working on it I really am.'

The 29-year-old, rumoured to be expecting her second child with Cruise, has recently returned to acting after taking a break to raise Suri, now two.
