Katie Price: I hope Peter Andre is happy with his 'new girl'

Katie Price said today that she would be able to handle seeing her estranged husband Peter Andre with a new partner.

Speaking on ITV1's This Morning, Price said she believed Andre, 36, was already seeing someone else.

Getting over Peter Andre: Katie Price has moved on

She said: "He is seeing another girl, it hasn't come out yet but it's slowly coming out because I've read it. And I just hope he's happy."

She said she would be "absolutely" OK if she saw Andre with someone else.

"As long as they're good to the children, that's all I can ask, because it's going to happen one day, I've got no hard feelings, I just hope everyone gets on.

"I'm happy and I'm all right with it."

Speaking on Saturday at the Media Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival, Andre said he did not think he would go out with someone else in showbusiness.

He said he was sure he would meet somebody "at some point".

Speaking about revelations in her OK! magazine column this week that she has been raped more than once when she was younger, Price told This Morning: "I don't ask for sympathy, everyone has dramas in their life."

Asked if the incidents had affected her attitude towards men, the 31-year-old said: "No, because that was all in the past and it's like, no ... everyone's lives are mapped out to what they're meant to be.

"I'm really happy. What I am right now, you learn from your past, you've got to go up and down ... things have got to happen to make you the person you are today."

Agreeing she did not come across as sad about her marriage break-up, she said: "I got hurt in the past, I can't help that I'm so strong and I have to switch off.

"People have got to realise that Pete has not wanted to meet up with me.

"He doesn't want to talk to me on the phone. What am I supposed to do? It's been four months ...

"You have to move on and anyone out there who has a break-up, if a guy's not interested, don't sit around and mope, get on with your life."

Asked what she would do if Andre phoned her and suggested getting back together, Price replied: "It will never happen because people don't know what's going on behind the scenes, trust me.

"I think Pete's got more hatred for me than anything, especially because of what's gone on because I've met Alex (Reid, Price's current boyfriend).

Asked why she thought Andre hated her, Price said: "If I'm honest I think it backfired on him ... he probably thought we would have got back together but the media got involved and it got worse and worse. I don't know.

"I'm quite happy to meet him, even though he dumped me. So he must have feelings or something, because he can't meet me, he can't face me."

Asked if she loved Reid, she said: "That's quite a strong word ... But I'm very much involved with him, he's brilliant with the kids, he's not this person they make out in the papers ...

"I suppose anyone I go with they're going to batter them or try and find bad in them and I love it that he's had a past and I know everything about him.

"And there's more surprises to come out about him, which no one knows ...

"They've painted this picture that he's some brute, he's into this, he's into that.

"Big deal, I like him, he's very good with the kids."

She described her relationship with Reid as "definitely not just a quick little thing ...
It's either all or nothing with anyone I meet."

Price also dismissed reports that she had recently encountered an angry mob.

She said: "They weren't chanting (for) Pete, they were chanting (for) me."

The glamour model said of her estranged husband: "I hope he does well, there's room for everyone. I think people are just so into this Team Pete, Team Price, or whatever the devil I am, whatever they want to say."

Asked if she felt she was being painted as the devil, Price replied: "Well of course, you know.

"But at the end of the day I'm living my life the way it is and I'm not going to change just because people are saying: 'Oh, you should calm down, you should do this'.

"So what? I do what I want to do. I've always done what I want to do."

She described Andre as "a loveable guy, he really is, that's why I was with him so long".

She said: "This isn't a game, this is my life. I'm a human being and so is Pete.

"And I so don't want to go down that road, who's liked more and who's not ... there's room for us all."
