The former Atomic Kitten singer has fronted a successful ad campaign for the supermarket since 2005.
Confused: Katona downed wine before Jonathan Ross show
Iceland issued a statement saying it would stand by her.
A spokesman said: "Kerry is dependent on medication for her bipolar disorder and if this medication isn't taken at the right time it will result in her appearing disorientated and slurring her words.
"We were unaware of her appearance on This Morning and it is our opinion that Kerry should not have appeared on the programme."
But insider reports suggested that bosses will end the 28-year-old's £250,000 deal after an email containing complaints from shoppers circulated Iceland's headquarters.
Last year Katona downed a glass of wine minutes before an interview with Jonathan Ross.
She was supposed to be talking about her autobiography but struggled to remember the name of her book.
