The sexy socialite - who split from Dallas Cowboys football player Miles Austin in September - started dating the New Jersey Nets basketball star last December when she was filming her new reality show 'Kourtney and Kim Take New York' but said there are no plans for him to appear on screen with her.
Kim explained: "I met him towards the end of filming the show. I'm having a lot of fun [with him]."
While viewers won't get the chance to see Kim's new relationship developing onscreen, the star - who has also dated football player Reggie Bush and been linked to soccer player Christiano Ronaldo and rapper Kanye West - she has promised a new insight into her dating life.
She told People: "I'm showing a lot of my dating life, which I've never really done before. I mean you've seen bits and pieces of my relationships before, but you've never really seen me being single and doing whatever I want to do."
Although Kim, 30, admitted "it's always hard when you're dating on camera," she isn't worried it will affect her chance of finding love.
She said: "I never think love is hard. I think if it's meant to be, it's meant to be."
