Kylie, who was otherwise impeccably groomed in a charcoal trench and heels, quickly managed to regain her composure as she headed into a medical centre for an appointment.

It is thought the star, who received her breast cancer treatment the city while she was living there with her ex-fiance Olivier Martinez, was attending a routine check-up with her doctor.

It is unlikely that Kylie will catch up with her ex during the trip - despite speculation they have reconciled she made it clear in an interview earlier this month that they are not an item.

She added that she is not ready to be friends with him, saying: "I don't like confrontation. You can be civil and friendly but to have a proper friendship, you need to allow a certain amount of time to pass."

While her love life is not quite on track, her career looks set to take off again.

The 39-year-old star burst back onto the pop scene earlier this week with the debut of her new single 2 Hearts.

French connection: Kylie visited Paris for a medical appointment

She reprised her Marilyn Monroe look for the sexy film clip, in which she wears a plunging layered black ensemble, lashings of red lipstick and blonde bombshell curly locks reminiscent of the 1950s sex symbol.

Kylie called in big names including Calvin Harris, Groove Armada, Boy George and the Scissor Sisters to help her record 'X', a follow-up to 2003's 'Body Language.'

The singer is also set to mark her pop comeback with a TV special.

The Kylie Show, which will air on ITV1 later this, will feature her classic hits as well as brand new tracks from her album.
